Charollette Novakowski of Red Deer, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family, on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the age of 83 years. Charollette was born in Regina, raised in Rabbit Lake and Regina. As a teenager, she worked at Sears until she married Donald Windrum. She later married Henry Novakowski to whom she was married for twenty-five years until he passed away in 1985. They lived in Yorkton, Canora, Regina, Moose Jaw and settled in Calgary until 2005 when she moved to Red Deer, AB. Charollette was the loving mother to eight children, Brian Windrum (Lorna), David Windrum, Brenda Windrum, Kerry (Leah), Patrick (Cristina), Heather (Marty) Lasante, Daryl and Kelly. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one brother Frank Furo, two sisters June Carswell and Doreen Mehling, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Charollette was predeceased by her husband Henry, daughter-in-law Linda Windrum, brothers Harvey and Ken Furo. A Celebration of Charollette's life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through In living memory of Charollette Novakowski, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
