One of our latest memories is when Del came fishing for Salmon with Al and Doreen, he was amazed on how the fishing was here in the north, but didn't really like the cool weather. We had alot of laughs around the campfire and Del was quizzed alot from the kids and made alot of memories with Terry and his family. We will all miss Del and hope he RIP, now joining his beloved wife Bev.

I worked with Del as his assistant for 14 years while he was City Solicitor at The City of Calgary Law Department. After his retirement in 1995 Del continued to enjoy the company of the staff he hired and worked with by visiting the Law Department frequently and by attending the annual employee recognition luncheon.

Del led the Law Department during the time of its greatest expansion, during the height of development and growth within expanded city limits, and during a time of technological advancement. Throughout that time he took great pride in heading the department, recruiting competent and respected lawyers and staff, and the many accomplishments they achieved.

Del`s sisters Eilleen and Adeline have taken great care of him during the past few years, especially since he lost Bev soon after his retirement.

My sincere condolences to all of Del`s family, who I know were treasured by Del.

Del was a classmate of my husband, Marvin Henderson, in the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan. We spent many times with Del in those early days, and managed a visit or two whenever we were in Calgary. He was a good and true friend and a man of integrity. My condolences to his family.

I worked as an Assistant in the Law Department when Mr. Kvemshagen was the City Solicitor. It is hard to believe that he was 80 years old! He will certainly be missed by those who knew him in the Department. May God's comforting hand be upon his family at this time.

I am sure he is happy to be with his wife and other family members who have passed on. May he rest in peace.

Del was a good-natured, honorable man. I knew him from law practice, where he was intelligent and decent. The world needs more of men like him. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
