Dorothy Mansbridge (nee Marlor) of High River passed away peacefully in High River on February 14, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Dorothy is survived by her children Tim Mansbridge (Pam) of Red Deer, Alberta, Barb Mansbridge (Allan Chamberlain) of High River, three grandchildren Alexandra, Susan and Juli, and great-grandchild Taylor. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Eric, her parents Minnie and Len and her brother John. Dorothy was born in Calgary in 1926. She attended St. Hilda's School for Girls. She met Eric and they were married January 17, 1953. In their early married years they moved to Fernie, BC where they raised their children and made many friends, some of whom lasted a lifetime. They moved to Pitt Meadows, BC and retired there. When she started to feel the early signs of failing health, she decided to come back to Alberta to be closer to family, and spent her final years in High River. Her father taught her a love of classical music that lasted even into her final days. Dorothy loved animals and her home always had one to several cats and dogs. She was a vivacious woman, who loved conversation, music and dancing. She was a good friend to many, and had an open heart to the many charities she supported. A Celebration of Dorothy's Life will be held on February 25 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Benedict's Anglican Church in High River.
