MUCHOWSKI, Galyna
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Galyna Muchowski. Galyna was born and raised in Cineva, Ukraine. She later attended the University of Lvov in Lvov, Ukraine where she obtained a degree in Economics. In 1995, she immigrated to Canada, initially settling in Kelowna, BC and in 1997 moved to Calgary. Here she worked in Jewelry Sales and later became a Real Estate Agent. During her 16 years here in Calgary, she made many new friends and touched the lives of many with her energetic and outgoing ways. She loved dancing, swimming and travelling especially to tropical beach locations. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Muchowski; her two sons, Oleg Komar and Nikolai Gruszecki. She is also survived by her grandmother, Babba Odarka, who lives in Ukraine; her parents, Yevgen and Leonia Grushetska also of Ukraine; her sister, Oksana and niece, Melissa Gruchetski; stepdaughter, Nicole Muchowski (Andrew MacInnis); step-grandson, Reed MacInnis; stepdaughter, Corinne Muchowski-Stone (Jay); step-granddaughter, Jocelyn Stone; step-grandson, Callum Stone and stepson, Scott Muchowski. Visitation will be held in the Chapel of EDEN BROOK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at the Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church (704 - 6 Street N.E.) on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be served at Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church (704 - 6 Street N.E.) on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. A Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. Reception will follow in the Elbow Valley Reception Centre at Eden Brook Funeral Home. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.edenbrookcemetery.ca.
