The death of Harry Nathan ("Bing") Kierstead occurred on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Rockyview Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. Harry was born in Plaster Rock, N.B. on March 23, 1942. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Evelyn (Fulton) Kierstead, his mother, Norma (Kierstead) Trewin; sisters, Gertrude (Clayton) Edgar, Patricia (John) Anderson, Karen (Derek Johnston) Kierstead; brothers, Watson (Shelly), Raymond (Barbara) and Clair (Barbara). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and special niece Tanis Brown and her mom, Kathy Brown of Calgary, Alberta. He was predeceased by his father, Harry Kierstead Sr., stepfather Henry Trewin and his brother Eugene. Harry lived in Calgary, Alberta since 1980, where he worked for the City of Calgary until his retirement. Harry (Bing) was best known for his sense of humour and his devotion to his wife Evelyn. A Memorial Service will be held at Rockyview General Hospital Chapel (7007 - 14 Street S.W., Calgary, AB) today, February 1, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
