Isabel CLEARY

CLEARY _ Isabel G. Isabel G. Cleary (nee Lloyd) passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital, Calgary, on October 23, 2003 at the age of 81 years. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-three years, Thomas L. Cleary; three sons, Peter, Michael and Sean; and seven grandchildren, Patrick, Brenda, Alexandra, Thomas, Daniel, Brendan and Elizabeth. Isabel was a third generation Albertan. Her grandparents cleared and settled the land around Red Deer Lake and Midnapore, before the railroad reached Calgary. Isabel attended the University of Saskatchewan and had a successful career as a radio fashion commentator and columnist, using the pen name of Dorothy Hudson until she married Thomas. Together they lived in Long Island, New York; Geneva, Switzerland; Beirut, Lebanon; Damascus, Syria; and The Philippines. A Private Service to Celebrate Isabel's Life will be held at Saint Paul's Anglican Church in Midnapore. Isabel's final resting site will be The United States National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with a Traditional Military Funeral by U.S. Marines who are guarding Heaven's Scenes and welcome Isabel aboard.
