It is with heavy hearts that the family and friends of Jackie Legare share the news of her sudden and tragic passing. Jackie was born in Petrolia, Ontario and spent a good portion of her early life in the city of London, Ontario. She married Richard Dwyer and spent 38 years with him. Jackie moved back and forth between Alberta and Ontario before finally settling in Calgary, refering to herself as a delayed pioneer. In 2002 Jackie met and later married Ronald Legare. Jackie retired from SAIT and the pair followed their hearts to Christina Lake, BC where they happily lived out the days of their lives. Jackie was a true character and left a lasting impression upon everyone that met her, no matter what the duration. Left to mourn her passing are her three children, Kathy MacNeill (Scott), Mark Dwyer (Nancy) and Laura Bonk as well as her beloved gandchildren, Jacqueline, Jamie, Lynda-Rose, Karleah and Ryley. A celebration of her life will be held in a joint celebration with that of her husband, Ron, on Wednesday, August 15 at 7:00 p.m. and the Montgomery Community Association, 5003 - 16 Avenue N.W., Calgary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christina Lake Fire Department, Box 18, Christina Lake, BC. V0H 1E0. Attention Chief Ken Gresley-Jones.
