ANDREWS _ John R. (Jack) 1922 - 2006 In loving memory of our father John R. (Jack) Andrews of Calgary, who after a long struggle, passed away peacefully at the Colonel Belcher Veterans Care Centre on Monday, April 3, 2006 at the age of 83 years. Jack came to Canada from England when he was five years old; he settled in Calgary in the community of Ogden. He served in the Navy in World War II from 1942 until 1945. He was employed by Canada Post for thirty-five years, was the President of the Manchester Community Association and was also a long-time Royal Canadian Legion member. Jack is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Bob Jesse, and Brenda Andrews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Earl and Carol Longden; and two sisters-in-law, Irene Andrews and Helen Andrews; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Gwen; mother Margaret; father William; and two brothers, Ron and Bill Andrews.
