Ken Shaw passed away peacefully at the High River Hospital on Monday, the 3rd day of December at the age of 94 years. Ken will be missed by Merele, his loving wife of 64 years. Ken is survived by his daughters Jannefer (Gerald) Rutberg and Beverly (Wayne) Thiessen, his sons Steve (Daylene) Shaw, Lewis (Beth) Shaw, Wes (Liz) Shaw, Allan (Monica) Shaw and Milt (Debbie) Shaw. Ken is also survived by his brothers Jack Shaw of Milk River, Alf (Irma) Shaw of Victoria and his sister-in-law Joan. Ken was predeceased by his parents Lewis and Clara, brother Herb and his sister-in-law Margaret. Ken's legacy includes 14 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Ken worked all his life, self employed as a carpenter, farmer and contractor residing in Cranbrook B.C., Calgary, Airdrie, Brant, Creston B.C., Cayley and High River. In his later years Ken enjoyed spending time with his large family, fishing and doing woodworking projects. A celebration of Ken's life will take place at the Snodgrass Funeral Home reception lounge in High River on Thursday the 6th day of December at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Columbarium in the Highwood Cemetery at a later date.
