Leota TILLMAN Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 26, 2003.
TILLMAN _ Leota Byrd "Little Prairie Flower" 1906 - 2003 Mom passed away peacefully May 23, 2003, just short of her 97th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Larry and her son Bob. She is survived by her daughters, Wyn Lynch and Sharon; and her sons, Gene (Linda) and Joe (Martine); as well as thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Leota was born and raised in Oklahoma, the youngest of six children. She moved her family to Calgary in 1948 to join Larry, who was the local wrestling promoter at the time. She was a full time homemaker with the heart of an artist, who loved creating ceramics and quirky "pomes" that the family still enjoys. Her Southern cooking was legendary among all who had the privilege of experiencing it. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Cedars Villa and the kind, professional attention afforded by Dr. Jim Emmett. HERITAGE FAMILY FUNERAL SERVICES "Heritage Funeral Home".
