BARROWS _ Lionel Charles Gordon 1919 - 2006 Lionel Charles Gordon Barrows passed away at Bow View Manor on May 7, 2006 at the age of 86. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Lionel was born in Warner, Alberta and moved at an early age to the Cochrane/Jumping Pound ranching area. After serving in Sicily and Italy with the Army during World War II, he returned to farm. As well, he operated at the Shell Jumping Pound Gas Plant for twenty-seven years. Following his retirement in 1979, he and Betty moved to Calgary and continued to travel extensively. Lionel was predeceased by his loving wife Betty in 2003, brother Norman Barrows and sister Dorothy McKay. He is survived by his son Terry (Pauline) Barrows and daughter Diana (Grant) Deans and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as brother Clayton (Mary) Barrows. The Family would like to extend its appreciation to the staff at Bow View Manor for their care and support. At Lionel's request, no Funeral Services will be held.
