It is with great sorrow that the family of Margaret Shaw announces her passing on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the age of 92 years at the Father Lacombe Care Centre. Margaret was born May 14, 1921 in Drumheller, Alberta. She was predeceased by Albert Shaw, her beloved husband of 47 years, in 1996. She was also predeceased by her brother George MacCallum and by her sister Cecilia MacCallum. Margaret is survived by her children Mary (Roman) Zak, Michael Shaw, Rita (Rik) Zak, Patrick Shaw, David (Oksana) Shaw, Bernadette (Rick) Finzel, Elizabeth Shaw, Madelaine (James) Wong, Christopher Shaw, Robert (Robyn) Shaw. Margaret was grandmother to twenty grandchildren; Mark, Kathy, Rebecca, Kristin, Rita, Ian, Timothy, Simon, Dominic, Gina- Marie, Blaise, Evangeline, Matthew, Elizabeth, Mary, Alice, Karen, Michael, Emily and Thomas, and four great-grandchildren; Dominic, Cecilia, Nymue and Olivier. She will always be remembered for her compassion, wisdom, incredible example and strength. The family thanks the staff at Father Lacombe Care Centre for their great kindness and loving care. Vigil Prayers will be held at EVAN J. STRONG FUNERAL SERVICES (5502 - 2 Street S.W./one block east of Macleod Trail at 53 Avenue S.W.) on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will celebrated at St. Albert the Great Roman Catholic Church (10 Prestwick Drive S.E.) on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
