IANNIELLO, Michela (nee Falzarano)
May 3, 1930 - May 26, 2012
It is with a profound sense of loss and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Michela Ianniello, at the age of 82 years. Michela passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 26, 2012, surrounded by her family, after battling the aftermath of a massive stroke suffered in August, 2011. She will be missed by her beloved husband of fifty-eight years, Clemente Ianniello; her sons, Enzo (Lillian) and Giovanni (Rosa); and her daughter Pasqualina. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Michele, Morena, Clemente and Raffaele. She is also survived by four sisters in Italy, three sisters in Argentina, and many friends and family members in Italy, Vancouver, and Calgary. Michela was born on May 3, 1930 in Airola, Benevento, where she eventually met Clemente. They were married on October 3, 1953, and immigrated to Canada in 1981 to be with their children. While in Canada, she dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She and Clemente lived with Enzo, Lillian, Michele and Morena for twenty- six years, blessing the family with her warm heart and incredible cooking. Her enormous heart and genuine compassion put a smile on the faces of all who surrounded her, and the lifetime of memories will forever be cherished and remembered. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church (2424 - 24 Avenue N.W.) on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Mausoleum.
