It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Alan Brimacombe of Bashaw, Alberta who passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the age of 72 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Carol; mother Mary Jean; children Alan (Gretel) Brimacombe of Calgary, Nancy (Amedeo) Cortese of Calgary and Peter (Katie) Brimacombe of Calgary; eleven grandchildren; brothers Neil (Linda), Ted (Pat) and Dan (Debi); sisters Judy (Ed) and Margaret (Dave); and sister-in-law Meg. Ron is also survived by Carol's children Cathryn (Greg) Murray of Vancouver and Peter (Katie) Clarke of Burlington, Ontario; and their four children. Ronald was predeceased by his father Geoffrey; brother Keith; and one grandson Ryan. A Prayer Vigil will be held 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2013 at Burgar Memorial Chapel, Camrose, Alberta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Our Lady of the Prairies Roman Catholic Church, Daysland, Alberta with Reverend Leon Kler as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Rosalind, Alberta. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Memorial Monument Project c/o Village of Rosalind, or to the charity of one's choice.
