Sandra Clendon

CLENDON , Sandra Marie (nee Deshaye) 1947 - 2010 Sandy Clendon passed away late Wednesday night after a blessedly brief battle with lung cancer. Born in Melville, Saskatchewan, Sandy was raised with her brothers and sister in Regina. Sandy attended the University of Manitoba to initially pursue her love of the arts through interior design; however, Sandy soon decided to become a teacher, finishing her degree at the University of Alberta. In Calgary, Sandy met her husband of thirty-seven years, Bill Clendon. After moving back to Regina for four years where they began their family, the Clendons then moved in 1977 to Olds, AB and called it home ever after. Sandy taught many of the children of Olds her passions for English, and later, stained glass, through the program that she created. Sandy was always talented with her hands, making beautiful keepsakes for her friends and family, lately through quilting. Sandy lives on in her husband Bill, her children Patrick (Jana), Jim (Bonnie) and Erin (Darren), her beloved grandchildren Brett, Dax, Nadia and Jalen, and her siblings Jim, Lloyd, Jerry and Joan. A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, April 21 at 2:30 p.m. held at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Olds, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or STARS Air Ambulance would be appreciated. Sandy, you are loved and missed, always.
