Steven (Steve) Ellery Braun June 18, 1981 - March 1, 2018

Steven Braun passed away suddenly in Mackenzie, British Columbia on Thursday, March 1st, 2018.

Steven is lovingly remembered and missed by his mother Patricia Braun of Hope B.C., his brothers Devin (Jennifer) Braun of Hay River, NT, and Curtis (Trish) Braun of Calgary, AB, his nieces & nephews - Hayden, Aizlynne, Niko and Jazmyn, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins and very special friends.

Steven was born on June 18, 1981 in Lethbridge, Alberta. His interests in emergency training took him throughout northern Alberta and British Columbia working as medic, eventually leading to a career with heavy equipment operations. His interest in video games took him to the very edges of the universe where he has skilfully saved the world may thankless times. He long enjoyed his drawings and artwork and would spend countless hours immersed in his projects, taking great pride in each of his many accomplishments. Those who knew Steven can attest to his witty attitude, his joking nature, and the energy he brought with him each time he entered a room. His life could never be defined solely by the journey he walked, but the journey he experienced with others in his life.

Steven was predeceased by his father Les Braun in 2013. In losing both Steven and his father, the Calgary Flames have lost two of their biggest fans.

To honour Steven's final wishes, his remains will be blasted off a mountain. A memorial celebration of Steven's life will be held on March 25th at 10:30 at the Tuscany Club (212 Tuscany Way NW) in Calgary, Alberta.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the many who gave their kindness and support.
