TYLER, Tim
1922 - 2017
Died peacefully October 18, 2017 in Calgary. Dean of the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary for some 20 years, he passed on through his work a strong sense of public service. He loved the land and built a log cabin with his family on our beautiful "farm" in the woods. Shaped by his early life on a farmstead during the depression and by his service as a pilot in WWII, he was a teacher, farmer, a stained glass artist, a wood craftsman, writer and so much more. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lillian, children Stephen (Barbara Hansen), Lynne, Randy and Maureen and grandchildren Kari, Bryan and Sean (Michelle). No service by his request. No flowers, but donations may be made to the Tyler Bursary at U of C (403-220-8261).
