GRAHAM , Vernon Austin "Vern" August 6, 1924 - March 22, 2010 It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad and grandpa, Vern Graham. He passed away peacefully at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family. Dad was a very proud native Calgarian who served his country in the Air Force during WWII. He had a great love of all sports and particularly enjoyed playing football for the Calgary Stampeders in the late 1940's and early 1950's. Dad worked in the automotive industry and retired from Calgary Transit in 1989. Vern was very devoted to his family and is survived by Marjorie, his loving wife of sixty years, as well as his two sons, two daughters, and twelve grandchildren, Pat (Nicole), Amy, Emily and Taylor; Gary (Gail), Jessica, David and Alora; Susan (Des), Dan, Joe, Shannon and Mike; Judy, Jeremy and Jennifer. Vern is also survived by his sister Bea. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) this evening, March 25, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W.) on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com .
