NELSON, Ray W. A.
September 20, 1957 – July 27, 2014
Ray Nelson was born and grew up in Regina, attended SIAST in Moose Jaw, and was employed for many years in Saskatoon as a Structural Technologist. Ray enjoyed his work, reading, travelling, theatre, food and wine. He was a longtime member of CSC, the Holiday Park Men's Golf League, and TEGS Golf. Ray will be remembered by his wife Laurie Njaa and their cat Amelia; his parents, Margaret and Allan Nelson [Regina], brother Dave (Denise) Nelson [Regina], sister Judy (Ron) Gebert [Calgary], and their families; extended family and relatives, and his many friends and colleagues. Ray was predeceased by his first wife, Sharon Hanson Nelson, in 2008. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 2 p.m., at Saskatoon Funeral Home, 338 4th Avenue North. Memorial Donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society, Saskatoon SPCA, the St Paul's Hospital Foundation, or charity of choice.
