Agnes Orr passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Southwood Care Centre. She leaves to grieve daughters Janice, Brenda, and a son Darrell, and six grandchildren. Agnes is also survived by her sister Irene (Reg). Agnes was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Julia Gates, her sisters, Anne, Julia, Ethel, her brothers, Paul, John, Bill, and by a son Garth. Agnes was born in Hartyville, Alberta then moved to Calgary in 1951. She was the driving force in establishing, owning and operating Chinook Driving Academy for fifty years. Agnes was an avid traveler through which she experienced many different cultures; although you could most often find her at her most beloved home-away-from-home, the lake, surrounded by loving family. A Celebration of Agnes' life will be held at LEYDEN'S Chapel of Remembrance (corner of 17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.) on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada (www.kidney.ca).
