NICOLETTI, Maria (nee Perri)
November 1, 1923 - November 2, 2012
Maria Nicoletti (nee Perri) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the age of 89 years. She was born November 1, 1923 in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy. Maria and Francesco were married shortly after World War II on August 12, 1945 and immigrated to Canada in September 1966. She loved being with family and friends and enjoyed a great meal with a glass of wine. Some of Maria's greatest moments were with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved and was so proud of. Not only did Maria enjoy going on walks with girlfriends, she also enjoyed going to Aquasize. Maria is survived by her children, Antonio (Sara) Nicoletti and Angela (Tony) Iandolo; daughter-in-law Teresa Nicoletti; grandchildren, Suzie (Joe), Gianfranco (Marlene), Marco, Laura, Francesco (Lucy), Massimo, Maria (Fiorenzo), Amanda and Domenico; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Anna Perri, Teresa Perri, and Giuseppina Nicoletti. Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband Francesco Nicoletti; parents Antonio and Caterina Perri; son Giovanni Nicoletti; and brothers, Salvatore, Giuseppe, Saverio and Giovanni Perri. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 - 14 Avenue N.E.) on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to thank the staff at PLC Unit 49 and the staff at Mount Royal Centre. In living memory of Maria Nicoletti, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
