November 17, 1922 - October 26, 2012
After nearly 90 years of a life well lived our father, grandfather and great-grandfather has been granted his eternal rest. Fred started life as a Saskatchewan farm boy. On March 25, 1944 he married Clara Zollner. He served his country during WW II and then built a career in housing construction. Later in life he fulfilled a long held dream of owning and operating a campground in the Okanagan. Upon retirement, Fred and Clara moved to Kelowna. They enjoyed life there with friends and visits from family. With the passing of Clara in 2007, Fred moved to Edmonton to be closer to his children and their families. Cherishing many fond memories are Fred and Clara's children and their spouses, Norma Jean and Cliff Huculak, Donna and Rick Sukovieff, and Doug and Linda Hoffman. Remembering Grandpa are his nine grandchildren and their spouses as well as 18 great-grandkids. A Celebration of Fred's life will be held on November 17, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church - 298 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kipnes Center for Veterans, 4470 McCrae Drive, Edmonton, T5E 6M8.
