Guerrino Coronetta, beloved husband of Antonia Coronetta of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, surrounded by his family, at the age of 87 years. Guerrino was born in Canetra, Rieti, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He landed in Halifax, moved to Montreal in 1952 and finally moved to Calgary in 1953. He worked for the City of Calgary Electric Department, retiring after twenty-five years of service in 1989. His passion was his family, his garden and greenhouse, fishing and hunting, and the making of wine. Besides his loving wife of fifty-four years Antonia, Guerrino is also survived by his daughter Anna Coronetta; son John Coronetta; two brothers, Giuseppe and Elio Coronetta of Italy; as well as numerous family members in Canada, Italy and Australia. Guerrino was predeceased by his loving parents; brother Carmine Coronetta, all of Italy; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in Italy and Australia. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) today, November 12, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 - 14 Avenue N.E.) on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Mausoleum.
