With our deepest love, we the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren announce the passing of our much-loved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Anne died peacefully with family at her side in the Daily Assisted Living unit of Silver Willow Lodge in Nanton, Saturday, November 17. Anne and her late husband Herb farmed in the Cayley district on the Shier family farm, which marked 100 years in 2002. She will be remembered for her positive attitude, giving nature, community commitment as well has her sense of humour and spirit of adventure. She is survived by son Jack Shier (Phyllis) and daughters Margaret Anne Horton (Stan) and Frances Jamison (Mike), eight grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Jean Shepherd of Trail, BC and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Marg Storey, brothers Martin and Hector Bale and all of her sister and brothers- in-law. The family wishes to thank the staff of Silver Willow Lodge and the Daily Assisted Living unit for their loving care and friendship and to acknowledge her very dear friend, Routh Kearl. Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Anne's life at the Cayley IOOF Hall, Friday, November 23 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the charity of your choice, as the need always seems greater as we approach the holiday season.
