Glen George Freeland passed away suddenly near Canyon Creek, Alberta on December 5, 2012 at the age of 38. Glen was recently a resident of Okotoks, Alberta but spent much of his adolescent and adult years in Peace River, Alberta. He is survived by his wife, Kirsten and their children Morgan (12 years) and Simon (7 months). Glen was predeceased by his father, David Freeland of Berwyn, Alberta. Glen was a loving husband and an extremely proud father. He was a successful business owner, helicopter pilot, jet boat racer, double heart transplant recipient, "international driver", celebrated BBQ grill master, "bagpiper" and all round wonderful guy. He lived life fearlessly, in the moment and with a unique sense of humour that was loved by all. Glen's life will be celebrated on Saturday, December 15th at 1:00 pm at the Belle Petroleum Centre in Peace River, Alberta and lunch and fellowship will follow commemorative service. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes can be made to the University of Alberta Heart Transplant Program, Clinical Sciences Bldg, 8440 - 112th Street, N.W. Edmonton, Ab T6G 2B7.
