"A LOVING AND CHARISMATIC WOMAN"
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie Snaith, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, sister, and aunt. Marjorie lost her battle with cancer on Monday, December 10, 2012 and passed away peacefully at the Agape Hospice, surrounded by her friends and family. Marjorie was an astute business woman who started her career in real estate, and opened the partnership of M&M Bond Realty followed by Calstar Realty. Because Marjorie enjoyed giving back to her community, she soon became passionately involved in the formation of the Diabetes Association (Foothills) where she functioned as Executive Director for over 19 years. In her spare time, Marjorie loved to play golf, a good game of cards, and simply hanging out in her kitchen baking fresh bread and cinnamon buns. Marjorie will always be remembered by her warm smile, stunning blue/green eyes, and upbeat personality. The family is happy that Marjorie is at peace, but she will always be missed. Marjorie is survived by her beloved husband, Marvin (Bud); her son, Ty (Sue) Snaith; her daughter, Karen (Gordon) Bandy; her five grandchildren, Mitchell, Stephanie, Mason, Nicholas and Logan; her sisters, Helen, Julie, Laurie, Marie, and Glenda (Rick) Lyons; her brothers, Lloyd, Brian and Gary; her nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Max. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Teckla; her brothers, Johnny, Ben and Tom; and her sister, Lyla. A Celebration of Marjorie's Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, please send all donations to the Salvation Army Agape Hospice (1302 - 8 Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1B8 (Telephone 403-282-6588). Our special thanks to all of the staff at the Agape Hospice and to all of the doctors who have cared for Marjorie over the past few years. In living memory of Marjorie Snaith, a tree will be planted at Big Hill Springs Park, Cochrane.
