QUIRING, Jean Dianne (nee Glen)
December 31, 1947 - January 18, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Dianne Quiring after a long courageous battle against stomach cancer at the age of 65 years. Jean is survived by her soulmate of 45 years, Donald Quiring and loving children: Dwayne (Joy), Jennifer (Ryan) Gillis, Rhonda, and greatly loved grandchildren: Izaiah, Mersaydez and Bentley. Jean will also be fondly remembered by her brothers, Don Glen, Al (Suzanne) Glen, Gord Glen, Mervin (Maureen) Glen, and brother and sister-in-law, Allan (Mildred) Quiring, Rose (Joe) Sunseri. Jean is predeceased by her sister Rita, mother and father, Ann and Royden Glen as well as mother and father-in-law, Peter and Florence Quiring. Jean was born in Kincaid, SK on December 31, 1947. The family moved to Regina where she graduated from Central High School. Jean worked at London Life in Regina for 12 years where she developed life- long friendships with many co-workers. Jean and Don opened DQ Auto & Truck Repair in 1978, meanwhile raising a family in White City. She also started Scrapbookers Delight and retired in 2008, enjoying family vacations and time with her grandchildren, along with countless hours working creatively on many beautiful scrapbooks that we will cherish forever. Our family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Regina General Hospital, 6th Floor, as well as the Palliative Care ward at the Pasqua Hospital, for all of their amazing compassion and kindness to Jean. Also, a special thank you to Lawrence and Ann McGinnis, Ken and Grace Ahl and Gary and Launa Watson for their support and great meals. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Road, Regina, with Fr. Stephen Bill as Celebrant.
