Tommy, beloved husband of Sarah Campbell of Calgary, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013 at the age of 73 years. Tommy was born on July 24, 1939 in Glasgow, Scotland. He met Sarah at the Locarno Dance Hall in Glasgow in 1957. Tommy and Sarah were engaged June 1961 and were married on February 28, 1962. Before marriage, Tommy spent two years (1959-1961) in Royal Air Force. Their first child, Paul was born in 1963 in Glasgow. Later in 1965, they immigrated to Toronto, ON, where their daughter Elizabeth was born in 1967. They lived and worked in Toronto until 1996 when Tommy was transferred to Calgary, AB. He retired in 2008 after working for Imperial Oil for 35 years. Tommy is survived by his loving wife Sarah, son Paul Thomas and his wife Rosemarie, daughter Elizabeth Sarina Campbell and her husband Mark Gordon Woods; three grandchildren Robert Thomas, Brittany Sarah and Kristi Marie; nephews George Mulligan and John Mulligan. Tommy was predeceased by his father William Reid, mother Isabell Brady and brother George. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Luke's Catholic Church (1566 Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary, AB), today, February 4, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke's Catholic Church (1566 Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary, AB), on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tommy's name to Canadian Cancer Society (Suite 200, 325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 2P5. Telephone 403-205-3966). Condolences may be forwarded through In living memory of Tommy Campbell, a tree will be planted at Big Hill Springs Park, Cochrane.
