DURLING, William (Bill)
December 21, 1938 - February 7, 2013
William (Bill) Durling of Calgary passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the age of 74 years. Bill was born in Halifax, NS, and also raised in Vancouver and Edmonton. He worked his whole career with the Royal Bank of Canada with positions throughout Alberta, Winnipeg and Montréal. Bill pushed the boundaries of medicine for all of us through his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer since 2004. Bill is survived by his two sons, Robert (Bob) Durling and Andrew Durling; his fiancée Gloria Spielman and her family; a sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Bernard Bordeleau of Lorraine, QC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his wife Barbara Durling (nee Brown) on June 5, 2001 and his parents Burpee and Edith Durling. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
