BUDD, Cleophée Louise
November 4, 1919 - April 26, 2013
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Cleophée Louise on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the age of 93 years. Cleo was born in Somerset, Manitoba on November 4, 1919. Being the second oldest of nine children, taking care of family was engrained very early on and ultimately led to her being the loving and caring Mother that she was so proud to be. Her ready smile warmed the hearts of everyone around her. Mom's legacy is a life of service. She and her family moved to Calgary in 1952 where she devoted 60+ years to the CWL and the Thrift Store. Mom is lovingly remembered by her sons Ron (Ellen) of Okotoks, AB and Rick of Strathmore, AB; grandchildren Heather Betteridge, Michael (Cindy) Betteridge, Kelly Budd, Leanne (Dan) Budd, Colin (Natalie) Budd and Jennifer (Tim) Lee and her step-grandchildren Penny Knops, Bhaskar Srivastava and Derek (Tanya) Knops as well as numerous great-grandchildren. She is also remembered by her surviving siblings Alec (Terry) Vielfaure, Irene Landreville and Lorraine Penner, all from Manitoba, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard, daughter Shirley Betteridge and five siblings. Visitation to be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church (711 - 37 Street N.W., Calgary) on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army (1731 - 29 Street S.W., Calgary, AB T3C 1M6) would be greatly appreciated.
