FLAMME, Douglas Eugene
Doug Flamme passed away on July 3, 1013 at the Garrison Green Nursing Home. Doug is survived by his daughter Joanne Cummings and her husband Ron Cummings; daughter Robin Flamme; stepdaughter: Jodie Andrew and her husband Lloyd Andrew; stepson: Wade Berry; and grandchildren: Cody Andrew, Shelby Andrew, Jamie Cummings and Cory Baiton and her husband Jeremy Baker, and great-grandchild: Taylor Baker. Doug was predeceased by his wife Ona Mae in August of 1996. Doug grew up on a farm in Bow Island, Alberta during the Depression. He served as a pilot during World War II attaining the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the RCAF. After the war ended he moved to Calgary and established a successful company in the building products industry. Over the years he earned a sterling reputation for his honesty and commitment. Doug was an avid golfer at the Earl Grey Golf Club, and a past president and proud member of the Gyro Club of Calgary.
