2013 – Calgary, Alberta
Karlo, our beloved father, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Born in Croatia, Karlo immigrated to Canada in 1960 where he worked as a mason and a carpenter. He enjoyed his work and was a master at his craft; working well into his early seventies. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Karlo is lovingly remembered and survived by the mother of his children, Katica Bakarich; daughters, Libuska (Stevo), Judith (James) and Anita; sons Darko and Gordon (Tina); grandchildren Johnny, Lindsay, Katelyn, Cody, Michelle, Scott, Megan, Kirsten, Kacey, Brayden, Nikolina and Zvjezdan; and great-grandchildren Enzo and Alexis. Karlo was predeceased by his daughter Zeljka; His family would especially like to thank the caregivers at The Beverly Centre Lake Midnapore. They were always patient, always kind and our hearts were touched by how much they cared. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 8-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (1705 Ranchlands Way N.W.) on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
