Marie STROH Obituary
Marie Stroh (nee Bergos), beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend, passed away peacefully in Calgary on October 18, 2013 at the age of 91. Marie's vibrancy and zest for life was an inspiration for everyone whose lives she touched. Her memory will always be treasured by her sisters, Jeanne of Edmonton and Margaret of Kamloops; her brother, Alex (Dorothy) of Drumheller; sister-in-law, Marjorie of Edmonton and many nieces, nephews and friends. Marie is predeceased by her husband, Michael; sister, Barbara and brothers, Donald and Peter. Marie was born on June 2, 1922 in Calgary and grew up on a farm in the Orkney area with her mother and six siblings. Marie was a CWAC during World War II from 1942 to 1945 followed by a 32 year long career with Zellers including 20 years as Personnel Operations Manager in Calgary. She loved to travel and had a passion for bowling and played on a team that won the Dominion championships in 1964. Special thanks to Corinne, Tweet, Jim, Brent and the many neighbours and friends for their dedication and support. Marie's spirit will live on with us as we tend our gardens, bowl, visit with friends, and watch sports. Respecting Marie's wishes, there will be a short Graveside Service at Queen's Park Cemetery on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Donations in Marie's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200, 325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5, or the Calgary Zoo, 1300 Zoo Road N.E., Calgary, AB, T2E 7V6. It is with our deepest sympathy for the passing of Marie stroh as distant relative and at her extended years she has enjoyed . Thanks to Henry and Corrine for their continuous care of their aunt during her latter days our prayers will continue for Marie.

We are so sad to hear of Marie Stroh's passing. We will never forget the great Zeller days we shared since 1948. We will also miss her phone calls. She kept in touch with everyone and I appreciated her friendship so very much.

Marie was a close friend of our family (Jack and Eva Rebaudengo) and will be sadly missed. Marie, Nora and my grandma Eva were tight friends for over 47 years! I'll think of her laughter warmth and kindness. We've all lost a treasured friend.

Marie was a close friend of my grandparents (Eva and Jack Rebaudengo) and my mom, Cathy, for longer than I can remember. We shared many special family occasions together, and Marie was always first with the stories and laughter.
Marie, Nora Trono, and my grandma were tight friends for over 47 years!
I'll remember her as a strong, proud, and warm friend who is a treasured part of our family.

We were Marie's neighbors for 2 years in Calgary...when we moved back to Houston, she called regularly to check on us, and we did the same. I don't think I can put into words how much we loved Marie and enjoyed her friendship. She was an amazing woman, and we will treasure our memories of her. The family is in our thoughts.

Marie will be missed by our family. She was part of our family for many of our celebrations . A friend always, a confidant, and a delight to have in my moms life and mine. Although we will miss her, she will live on in my photo albums and in our hearts.
