She enjoyed baton lessons and took instruction in elocution. As a teen she was a Golden Girl when the Rotary Club of Calgary celebrated its Golden Anniversary.

Following graduation from Henry Wise Wood High School, Sharon enjoyed a career in the Radio industry including several years with CHQR. When she was 30 years old she decided to pursue a university degree and subsequently completed a BA in Communications at the U of C followed by her MBA and PhD from the University of Washington. She received tenure at Seattle University and was recognized as The Teacher of the Year.

As a talented gardener, Sharon cherished her mammoth dahlias and other beautiful flowers as well as the bounty from her vegetable and berry plants.

She will be long remembered and loved by many friends and relatives, including her mother, Doris, her three brothers, Stan (Frankie) of Edmonton, Roger (Elaine) of Calgary and Brian (Nicole) of Barrie Ontario. She was predeceased by her father, Curly, and her brother Brent.

Sincere thanks to the caregivers, friends and family in the Seattle area that cared for and supported her over the past 18 months since her diagnosis with cancer.
