Germaine Hoebarth, beloved wife of Frank Hoebarth of Calgary, passed away on May 31, 2014 at the age of 87 years. Besides her loving husband of forty-three years, Germaine is survived by three sisters, Lorraine Nix of Cornelius, NC, Estelle (Maurice) McCaskill of Reno, NV and Sylvia Joseph of Hampden, MA; two sisters-in-law, Rita Burton of Edmonton, AB and Katherine (Roy) Wellman of Surrey, BC; numerous nieces and nephews from Canada and USA; extended family and many friends. Germaine loved life and considered her life a prayer. She was dedicated to helping and supporting others, always with great kindness and a gentle way. Her ease with people found expression both in social situations and her professional life as teacher, principal, employment counsellor and supervisor. She cared deeply for her family, extended families, many friends and her beagles. Germaine especially cherished her beloved husband, Frank. Memories of Germaine will continue to sustain all those she leaves behind. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) today, June 9, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church (2424 - 24th Avenue N.W.) on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
