January 13, 2017 - Calgary, AB
Mavis passed away in Calgary on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the age of 74 years. Mavis loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, and was an avid square dancer with her husband Richard. They also enjoyed their volunteer work at Airdrie Bert Church Live Theatre, Food Bank, & Airdrie Festival of Lights. Mavis is survived by her husband Richard Palardy, her children, Alex Chisholm (Patti), Elizabeth North (Brent), Chris Chisholm (Lee-Ann), Darrin Chisholm (Patty), Dawn MacInnes (John); Richard's children, Rick Palardy (Karla), Kevin Palardy (Tammy), Terrence Tyler (Jhana) and Connie Jackson (Bob), Grandchildren Jonathan Gant, Connor Chisholm, Michelle Chisholm, Cole Chisholm, Layne North, Cody Chisholm, Faith Chisholm, Bayne MacInnes; great-grandchildren Grace Gant, Emma Gant; siblings Shirley Beechin (Arthur), Wayne Gillett (Diane), Hope-Anne Redekop (Pat) and brother-in-law Eric Fairbrother. She was predeceased by her sister Carro Fairbrother. The family extend their heartfelt thanks to the companions, nurses, and staff at Beverly Glenmore and Bethany Care whose patience and love brought her so much joy and dignity. Thank you Mom, for being our champion and guardian angel, your strength and love will be with us forever. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of Mavis Palardy, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I used to babysit for Mavis years ago in Saint John. She was such a beautiful person. I saw her a few years ago at Dianne and Ian's in Calgary before she got sick. God bless you all and give you peace during this difficult time.
