Ardith Ann Emond, 81, passed away February 2, 2013 in Canon City, CO. She was born February 1, 1932 in Canon City to William and Alta S. (Osborne) Colbert. Ardith was united in marriage to Everett C. Emond; he preceded her in death. Together they owned and operated Emond Lumber for 54 years. Ardith is survived by her children, Sherry (Bud) May, Jerry (Nancy Jean) Emond, Nancy (Jerry) Flick, Dave Emond, and Tracy (Paulette) Emond; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and brother, Wayne Colbert. She is also survived by her little dog "Ginger", who she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jo Berry. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2013 at Holt Chapel of the Garden with Graveside Service to follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Canon City. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, National Processing Center, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516 or to Sangre de Cristo Hospice - West at 601 Greenwood Ave., Cañon City, CO 81212.
