Jocille Addington

Jocille "Jody" Addington, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on February 21, 2013 at her home in Florence, CO. Mrs. Addington was born, April 18, 1932, to Elmer and Letha Hoskins in Pueblo, CO. She was raised in Granada, CO. On October 10, 1953, she was united in marriage to Levi Addington in Raton, New Mexico. Jody retired from the Fremont RE-2J school district where she served as a school bus driver. She enjoyed and loved getting her hands dirty tending to her many flower gardens. Playing the piano and spending time with children and grandchildren also brought her joy. She had a life-long love of dogs and took great pleasure traveling the country in the family RV. Jody is survived by her son, Tom Addington of Florence; daughter, Linda Janousek of Barrow, Alaska; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi "Blackie" Addington; children, Roger "Butch" Addington and Brenda Spears-Dowd; her parents; and siblings Donald, Charlie, Jack, and Joyce Hoskins. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the First Southern Baptist Church, in Florence, CO with Reverend Jim Royal officiating.
