Lovina Watkins

Lovina Mae Watkins (Abbott) Lovina Mae Watkins Age 84 passed away on November 18, 2013 in Plymouth, Minnesota. Lovina was born May 6, 1929 in Rosita, Colorado to Helen and Lewis Abbott. Her family moved to Canon City in 1942 and this is where many life- long friendships began. Lovina married Vernon Watkins in 1950 and resided in Pueblo until 1968 when the family moved to MN. In 1990, Lovina and Vernon retired and moved back to Canon City to enjoy family and friends. Lovina was a member of the First United Methodist Church and PEO. Lovina is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon and her parents. She is survived by children, Leanne ( Steve) Jacobsen, Marilyn (Paul) Hayes, Chris (Cary) Watkins,seven grandchildren, Adam (Kristen), Brett (Lisa),Chad (Jamie) Hayes,Lisa (Jeremy) Burkauskas, Kari Jacobsen, Cole and Callie Watkins and great grandson Chase Hayes all of Minnesota. She is also survived by brothers, Bill (Kendal) Abbott and Ed(Dorothy) Abbott of Colorado, sister and brother in law, Dorothy and Bill Watkins, Alma Barker, Noraetta Hicks, Betty Gray ( sisters-in law) and many close family members. Arrangements through Cremation Society of MN and memorial service to be held at Summerwood of Plymouth on November 24. The family will also have a memorial service in Canon City at a later date.
