Callan Roy Hecker, 18, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 21, 2013. He was born on June 9, 1994 in Canon City, CO to John R. and Robin M. (Riech) Hecker. Callan was attending CCHS, where he enjoyed working with iron and building projects. He was active in soccer while in elementary school, and wrestled in high school, earning varsity letters, until injuries prevented him from participating. He also enjoyed 4-wheeling, riding motorcycles, hunting, spending time in the mountains, and shooting pool. Callan loved hanging out with his family and good friends. He enjoyed beating his mom at games, and was best friends with his dad. Callan always lived it up with Alec and Elizabeth He was a young man of strong faith who lived life to the fullest and loved helping people. He will be greatly missed by his mom, dad, Elizabeth, Alec, and so many friends and family. Callan is survived by his parents; sister, Elizabeth Hecker; and brother, Alec Hecker. Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Canon City, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a memorial fund at Pueblo Bank and Trust, to build a trail in Callan's name in Red Canyon Park.
