Doris Harding Obituary
Doris Lou Harding, 74 passed away October 22, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born October 28, 1938 to Eugene and Alice (nee Houser) Cochran at Cedaridge, Colorado. She married Fred Harding Sr., August 12, 1955 at Clayton, NM and to their union were born seven children. She worked at the Ranch House restaurant for 17 years before taking over, with her husband, the local distribution of the Rocky Mountain News and then retired from the Care Age House of Canon Lodge. She was a member of the Canon Community Baptist Church for 44 years. She loved to bowl, play cards, crochet and most of all she loved family gatherings and screaming at her Denver Broncos. You could also find her watching her grandson's softball games. She is survived by her husband Fred; children; Fred (Butch) Doreen Harding, Jr., Jim (Terri), Kathy (Kelley) Cumbie, Ken, Tom (Brandie) fifteen grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents; siblings and two children. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Canon Community Baptist Church at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Orchard of Hope Foundation, 111 N. Orchard Ave., Canon City, CO 81212. Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Services.
