Gayle "Butch" Olomon, 52, passed away June 22, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Canon City, Colorado on July 31, 1960 to Grover N. and Helen M. (Patterson) Olomon. Butch lived in Canon City his whole life. He graduated from Canon City High School in 1979. Butch married Debbie Atchison on October 24, 1996 in Lake Tahoe, NV. He was a devoted and loving husband. Butch worked as a truck driver, then as a miner for 12 years, but the love of his life was always the salvage yard better known as Canyon Truck that he owned and operated with his brother He had a gift for buying and selling, welding and woodworking. He loved attending auctions to visit people and make friends. Having no children of his own, he adored his nieces and nephews and attended their many activities. He always thought of them as his own. Butch is survived by his wife; parents; brothers, Leonard (Julie) Olomon, Lloyd Olomon; sister, Marilyn (Leo) French. A Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Evangelical Free Church in Canon City, CO. Arrangements handled through Holt Family Funeral Home.
