Gean A. Rosenstrauch passed away peacefully at his home in Redding, California on May 9, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Gean was born in Cañon City, Colorado on February 19, 1943. He graduated from Cañon City High School in 1961 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from St. Mary's College in Moraga, CA. Gean served in the U.S.
from 1961 and was honorably discharged on April 29, 1964. He was employed in the telecommunications industry from 1968 to the present in various engineering and management positions. Gean was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Clara Lee Rosenstrauch (deceased February 23, 2011), his father, Lloyd Rosenstrauch and a brother, Kim Rosenstrauch. Gean and Clara Lee were married in Petaluma, CA. August 13, 1966. Gean is survived by a daughter, Tina Stengel of Redding CA., her husband, Don Stengel, a son, William Stamos of Martinez CA., grandson Will Stengel of Redding, CA., granddaughter Cristle Stamos of Pleasant Hill, CA., his mother, Ella Rosenstrauch of Cañon City, CO., brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Lynn Rosenstrauch of Colorado Springs, CO. He was loved by many nieces, nephews and family members. A memorial service is planned for a celebration of life on May 24, 2013, 12:30 p.m. at the Northern CA. Veteran's Cemetery, 11800 Veterans Memorial Dr. in Igo, CA., 96047. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice at 1544 Market St., Redding, CA. 96001.
