Gordon Gail Gibson, 23, passed away this past weekend in Kansas.
Born in Colorado Springs to Vance and Chris Gibson on May 16, 1989. Gordon attended grade school in Penrose, high school in Florence, and an advanced education at Trinidad Junior College. He worked in construction in Northwestern Kansas for the last 1 1/2 years. Gordon was a two time National and World Champion in Cowboy Act Shooting. His hobbies included big and small game hunting, golfing, and four wheeling. He was hard-working, fun loving, and the nicest man one could ever meet. He was loved by all. Gordon was dedicated as a child at the First Christian Church of Ordway.
Gordon is survived by his parents, Vance and Chris Gibson of Florence, Colorado. And also by his brother, Parker Gibson of Selden, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Gail and Rachel Gibson.
There will be a graveside service to be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 1:30pm at the Olney Springs Cemetery located off of Hwy 96 on Lane 8 about 1 1/2 miles south.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Gordon Gibson Memorial Fund at the Fowler State Bank.
Eaton Family Funeral Home in Fowler is in charge of the arrangements.
