James (Jim) Barrows Obituary
James (Jim) William Barrows 55, of Florence, Colorado passed away on February 18, 2014. He was born April 16, 1958 in Aurora, Colorado to Charles Barrows Sr. and Betty Newell Barrows. James Graduated from Florence High School in 1978 and attended Pikes Peak Community college where he received an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. He was a CNA and Director of Activities (retired) at Bruce McCandless Colorado State Veterans Home. James also had worked as an orderly at CSVNH as well as Hildebrand. He enjoyed fishing, cribbage, reading, and BBQ's with friends and family. Mr. Barrows is survived by the love of his life Janet Smith; "Daughters" Sherri Carr, and Mysti (Dick) Seal; and "Sons" Ed (Jessica) Smith and Ransie (Sarah) Smith; six grandchildren. Sisters Barbara Barrows of Pueblo West ; Catherine (Ellen Carlson) Barrows of Nottingham, New Hampshire, Margaret (Glen) Letherbery of Howard, Colorado and Twin Sister Dorothy (Lash) Watson of Marysville, Washington. Brothers Charles Barrows Jr and John Barrows both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Numerous Uncles and Aunts and known as Uncle Honey to Cami, Debra, Pyper, Lauri, Jonathan, Kristyn, Sarah and Stewart. James is proceeded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to a charity of choice. A Celebration of Life will be set at a later date. Cremation handled by Harwood Cremation and Funeral Services.
