Jason Gardner Obituary
Jason Russell Gardner, Jr., 66, passed away August 26, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on April 26, 1947 to Maybelle (Compton) and Jason R. Gardner, Sr. On November 21, 1968, Jason was united in marriage to Angelina Francis Rigirozzi. He was veteran of the U.S. Army. Jason owned and operated the Canon City Sports Outlet, which he opened after he retired from the Colorado Department of Corrections. Mr. Gardner was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the NRA, and the American Legion. He was also a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, where he was a contributor to the youth of Canon City. He loved the outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jason is survived by his wife, Angelina; children, Steven Wayne Gardner (Deanna) and Pamela Ann Gardner (Scott Pipsair); grandchildren, Hailey Gardner, Mackenzie Gardner, and Steven Gardner; siblings, Becky Armour, Preston (Regina) Gardner, and Edward Karnes; and brother and sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Betsy Ann Jenkins. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel at 1449 S. 9th Street in Canon City.
