Larry Kramer Obituary
Larry Kramer, 74, passed away after a ten year battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). He was born August 27, 1939 in Stuart, NE to Margaret (Keuter) and John Kramer, Sr. His work career consisted of 28 years as a maintenance planner for Coors Container, 9 years as an industrial engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad, and 3 years as a high school teacher. After retirement he continued to work part time for Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Conifer, CO. His children's and grandchildren's fondest memories involve their mutual love of fishing. Before he became ill, there were more days than we can count that he was fishing with at least one child or grandchild. Larry was also a huge sports fan. Broncos or Rockies, he tried to listen to every one of their games. His greatest love was the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team. Larry is survived by, Billie, his wife of 50 years; sons, Corey (Michelle) of Albany Creek, Australia, Darby of Pasco, WA and Tully of Haiku, Maui, HI; daughters, Shani (Rick) Hunt of Arvada, CO and Kami (Bob) Burke of Pueblo, CO; grandchildren, Ricky, Michael and Stephanie Hunt, Heather and Jennifer Burke, Zackery, Logan, Mitchell, Ashley and Carson Kramer; two sisters, Betty (Al) Stracke and Margaret Langan; and sister-in-law, Frances Kramer. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, four brothers and many in-laws. After his death, Larry continued to help others by donating tissue to the Eloise Troxel Memorial Brain Bank. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2014 at Wilson Funeral Home, 1449 South 9th Street, Cañon City. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 10th and College, Cañon City. Inurnment will be in Stroud, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sangre De Cristo Hospice, 601 Greenwood Ave, Cañon City, CO 81212 or Cure PSP, 30 E. Padonia Road, Suite 201, Tinonium, MD 21093.
