Norma "Debby" Rix Obituary
Norma "Debby" Rix, 74, passed away April 9, 2014. She was born March 27, 1940 to Lee and Eula (Brinlee) Harrison at Denver, Colorado. Debby spent the majority of her life in the Florence area and was a member of the Oak Creek Southern Baptist Church and a Lady Elk at Florence Elks Lodge #611. Debby was a successful local business owner having operated two businesses in Fremont County. Debby had many activities she enjoyed like crocheting, gardening and tending to her flowers, hunting and fishing and crocheting her hats for her children, grandchildren and other family members. Most of all she loved her family and found great enjoyment watching her children and grandchildren play sports and in particular baseball. She even coached her sons Little League Baseball team and loved her Colorado Rockies. Debby leaves to cherish her memory her children; Tami Rix (Allen Sporcich), Terry (Cindy) Rix, Tracy (Roger) McKissack, Trudy (Gary) Leader, Troy (Lisa) Rix, siblings; Nancy (Paul) Layman, Bill (Ann) Harrison, Naomi (Clarence) Leven, grandchildren; Casey, Erin, Elaina, Nick, Mike, Crystal, Jerry, Ally, Mandy, Jeffrey, Brandon, Jordan, great-grandchildren; Johnathan, Julien, Teyshawn, Wyatt, Jasmine, Lexi and Aubrey. She was preceded by her parents. Memorial Service, April 17, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., at the Praise Community Church 215 N. Pikes Peak Ave., Florence, Colorado.
