Ralph Carter Obituary
Ralph L. Carter, 80, passed away January 25, 2014 in Penrose, Colorado. He was born on February 25, 1933 in Richmond, Virginia to James Emery and Alma (Davis) Carter. Ralph was united in marriage to Blanche Wilson. A was veteran of the U.S. Air Force; Ralph retired after 20 years of service. A long time resident of Penrose, he owned and operated Carter Gun Shop. Ralph loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family. He was proud to be a Virginia Hillbilly. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Blanche; children, Penny (Paul) Galamba and Neena Skoronsky; grandchildren, Stephen Galamba, Adam (Dee) Skoronsky, Amy (Paul) Abling, and Meagan (Craig) Willmers; great grandson, Tyler Abbot Ryder Willmers; good friend, Linda Martin; and his dog, "Cindy". He was preceded in death by his son, George Kelly Carter; and his parents. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Holt Family Florence Historic Funeral Home at 120 N. Pikes Peak in Florence, CO. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Penrose Baptist Church at 502 Fremont in Penrose, CO. Interment will follow at Beaver Park Cemetery.
