William Frederic Arnold, 96, passed away May 9, 2013. He survived by his wife, Hazel Delores Arnold: children, Bob (Eva) Arnold and, Fred (Marilyn) Arnold; grandchildren, Rob (Kathy) Arnold, Scott (Christine) Simon, Melissa (Basil) Lane, Teresa (John) Manfredo, Angela (Scott) Elliott, Sarah (Mitch) DelDuca; great grandchildren, Tyler and Cooper Arnold, Alex and Andrew Simon, Ariel and Ambria Lane, Jennifer, Julianna, Matthew, Michaela, Peter & Thomas Manfredo, Kyle, Kaleb, Kameron, and Elizabeth Elliot, Isabella and Alyssa DelDuca; and sisters, Esther Stringer and Ruth Young. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked at various occupations before becoming a teacher at Canon City High School and later a professor at PCC and USC in Pueblo, CO. He volunteered for Friendly Visitors, was President of Canon Heights Ditch Company and helped to improve trails in Colorado as long as he was able. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, bicycling and snowmobiling. He continued to participate in these activities in his later years. The Memorial service will be on Tuesday, May 28 at 4 p.m. at Evangelical Free Church, 3000 E. Main, Canon City, CO 81212
